Metal Tech is a Veteran owned and operated company based out of Shepherd, MT. Using all quality U.S. made steel and specializing in metal art, wrought iron, metal fabrication, welding, CNC and plasma cutting. If you have a vision, we can likely create it!

OWNER

Rick Baker

Rick was born in Albequerque, NM but grew up in the Billings, MT area. Rick went to school at both Shepherd and Huntley where he wrestled and was an active member of 4-H and FFA. Rick joined the United States Army and spent 4.5 years serving his Country where he obtained the rank of Sargent and served 1 combat tour in the Middle East in the Infantry. Upon his return home received several awards and medals. Rick retired from the Military after an injury wrestling for the World Class Athlete Program for the United States Army. After the Military Rick returned home to run Baker Construction and Fabrication and raise his children. While pursuing his degree in Psychiatric Rehabilitation at MSU-Billings, Rick also worked for Tumbleweed where he was a victim advocate/case manager for human trafficking victims. He most recently worked for Weld Tech at CHS refinery. He has 16 years of welding and metal fabrication experience and has spent a majority of his life learning and developing those skills from his Dad, Uncles and a long-time mentor. Rick is AWS certified in stick, mig, flux-core wire feed and 6G pipe welding. With Rick's experience and creative mind, he can make all your metal projects come to life!
